On April 4, it was announced that the operation of Wargaming games in Russia and Belarus, in particular the operation of World of Tanks, is transferred to Lesta Games. This was the first step in a long process, which resulted in a complete structural and financial separation of the companies. Today World of Tanks and other products on the business and operation side are run by two independent companies: in Russia and Belarus – Lesta Games, and in all other countries – Wargaming.
Companies continue to work on the separation, the next step of which will be the emergence of a separate game client for players from Russia and Belarus with the official name “World of Tanks”, as well as the opening of the account transfer procedure.
Account transfer is a key activity, where each player in the CIS-region will need to make a choice of where they want to continue playing:
- On the RU-region, operated by Lesta Games, which will be recommended to players from Russia and Belarus;
- EU-region, operated by Wargaming, which will be recommended to players from other countries.
Please note that in RU-region (Lesta Games) only payment methods will be available for players from Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus. In other cases only EU-region (Wargaming) payment methods will be available.
